Help support the HFBA in their annual Parshas Chayei Sarah fund/awareness raising campaign 212 239 1662.
Nachum spoke with Andrew Parver, Director of Education and Outreach for The Hebrew Free Burial Association
(HFBA), about their annual fund & awareness raising campaign that takes place around Parsha Chayei Sarah every year. The Hebrew Free Burial Association began in the 1880's
as a free burial society serving the residents of Manhattan's Lower East Side
and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1889. As the need grew in
adjacent Jewish communities, HFBA also grew to serve the broader metropolitan
area of New York City. HFBA is currently the largest free burial society outside
of Israel. Nachum and Andrew discussed the various services of the HFBA and everyone in the community can get involved in this important cause. For more information, contact The Hebrew Free Burial Association at (212-239-1662).
